6.8 magnitude quake shakes the country today

Kathmandu, May 12: A 6.8-magnitude earthquake shook the country today at 12:50pm with its epicentre on the border between Sindhupalchok and Dolakha districts, the National Seismological Centre said.
Yet another shock measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale with epicentre at Dolakha was felt at 1:21 pm which was followed by yet another tremor of 5.3- magnitude with epicentre in Sindhupalchok.
The details of the damage due to the latest tremors has not been received yet. People nervous after the tremors have flocked to open spaces including Tundikhel.
The people injured in the quake are being rushed to different hospitals in the capital.
