Nepal Pays Tribute to Singapore Leader Lee

Kathmandu, March 27: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for
Federal Affairs and Local Development, Prakashman Sigh, has paid tributes to
the late Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore. He had passed
away few days back at the age of 91.
The government had decided to send DPM Singh to Singapore to pay last tributes
to the founding leader of Singapore.
DPM Singh Friday expressed heartfelt condolences to the government of Singapore and the bereaved family members on the sad demise of Lee. "The passing away of Singapore's founding leader has caused an irreparable loss to Singapore and with his demise, Nepal has lost a true friend," DPM Gautam wrote on a condolence book, according to the Nepali Embassy based in Bangkok. The Minister is accompanied by senior officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
