Supreme Court upholds govt decision

Kathmandu, April 12: The Supreme Court has upheld
the government's decision of recalling Nepalese Ambassador to Qatar,
Maya Kumari Sharma.
A joint bench comprising the Chief Justice Ram Kumar
Prasad Shah and judge Om Prakash Mishra today annulled the writ
Ambassador Sharma filed against the government.
The government had called back then Ambassador Sharma citing she gave statement unbecoming of the decorum of her post. She had filed a writ against the government's this decision on September 30, 2013.
The then government led by the Unified CPN (Maoist) had on April 4, 2012 appointed Sharma Nepal's ambassador to Qatar. The government led by Chairman of the Interim Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi recalled her on September 26, 2013.
