Kathmandu, May 5:
The aftershocks of the destructive April 25 earthquake are declining gradually.
The National Seismological Centre has informed that it recorded a 4.4 magnitude tremor with the epicenter at Nuwakot-Dhading border this morning too -at 6:49am.
On Monday alone, nine tremors were felt, said Chief at the Centre, Lok Bijay Adhikari, adding that a total of 142 aftershocks were recorded after April 25.
"As the frequency of the aftershocks was lessening, it would not be destructive at all. And, if the minor tremors occur frequently, it helps avoid the big one. So, there was no punting in panicking much now," Mr Adhikari stressed. April 25 deadly 7.6 magnitude deadly earthquake death tool has reached at least 7,325. Lots of people missing.
