Ruling two major parties Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are determined to endorse a new constitution via fast track process. The meeting of top leaders of the two parties decided Wednesday on endorsing the national charter following set procedures. The meeting decided on continuing efforts for agreement while following procedures. The meeting also dwelt on boycotting of Constituent Assembly meeting by the opposition parties including Unified CPN-Maoist one day before. Saying that strikes did not aid in constitution endorsement, UML Chair KP Sharma Oli informed that the two parties would proceed with the common objective of constitution endorsement within January 22( Magh 8). Saying no alternative to following set procedures existed as a lot of time was consumed in making efforts for consensus, he opined that nationality and integrity could not be compromised in the name of forging agreement. But Senior Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba opined that interim constitution should be endorsed as the new constitution, giving it a final form on January 22.
